A Peek Around The Corner!
There appears to be more good news ahead, but you would never know it if you saw the first chart below!
After nearly five weeks of the valuations of Corporate America, as measured by the S&P 500 going up, it only took a few volatile days to scare the investors to “Extreme Fear”.
Hmmm… Extreme fear! This is where my mind goes numb. Today’s valuations as I write this edition of The Weekly Update on July 1, 2026, are HIGHER than 99% of ALL previous valuations.
Just pause for a moment to think about that… Investors are feeling “Extreme Fear” while the values of Corporate America have only closed higher than today Nine Times in ALL of history.
This will be my 45th year of “The Summer Doldrums”, as usual the volume will be low causing the usual volatility. There are still many bad news headlines to be created, oops reported.
With that as the backdrop here is our peek around the corner of past performances, July (good), August (not so good), and September (the historically worst month of the twelve), still not good.
Those next few months will prep us for the year-end rally, at least based on the last 20 years. So, yes, there are a few speed bumps ahead, there “always” are, be patient and disciplined as you focus on “Five-Year Money” (Read it here), not just on August and September!
I did not say market valuations go straight up, and I did not say without volatility, yet the data flow suggests the good old USA has a very bright outlook.
