The Weekly Update 4/10/2026™
The Quiet Is Deafening!
And just like that, the valuations of Corporate America, as measured by the S&P 500, are within 5% of all-time highs!
In last month’s update of The Seven Signs of a Changing Economy™ (Read it Here), I wrote on page 6;
Then, much like the implosion of market values, the tide turns and up goes the market
values like a ball being held under 5 feet of water. It would not surprise me at all to hear
these words, “The US has concluded its mission to remove a nuclear threat from Iran!”
and then whoosh up 2000 or 3000 DJIA points before you can say “well, that sounds like
good news”!
Well, in today’s example, the first tick of the DJIA was +1,350 points, or roughly +2.80% and the words were “a delay for negations versus a conclusion”.
The quiet of the Fear was deafening at the close of trading less the twelve hours before. Here is the lesson: Once again, fear has produced a perfect lesson - of losing.

I did not say market valuations go straight up, and I did not say without volatility, yet the data flow suggests the good old USA has a very bright outlook.

As always, I am interested in your thoughts, comments, and questions.
Respectfully,
