Very Interesting!
A reason to consider adding cash to your bigger financial future investment accounts, in two simple charts.
This first chart is from Yardeni Research, and it charts 2026 forward earnings for Corporate America, meaning for the full year of 2026. Make special note of the red line as it represents the S&P 500.
Observe the earnings are estimated to be well over 100% from just six years ago.

In this second chart from the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII), you can see that almost 66% of investors surveyed, have a negative outlook for investments over the next 12 months.

Make special note of the pink line. Since 2002 we have only seen negative readings this high on five other occasions.
Nearing the end of the Tech Bubble Bear Market in 2003
The Global Great Recession in 2008 to 2009
The Covid Global Shutdown Pandemic
The end of the 2022 Bear Market
The Tariff Day Panic sell off one year ago last week
And – now.
Conclusion: Corporate America has the earnings growth afterburners on 100% and investors remain fearful.
Not only that, these fearful investors have over $8.5 trillion in cash accounts while they wait for the “all clear” bell. (Source: US Federal Reserve).
There has never been and never will be an “all clear” bell. But these two charts and all that cash are strongly suggesting “all clear” is already here.
I did not say market valuations go straight up, and I did not say without volatility, yet the data flow suggests the good old USA has a very bright outlook.

As always, I am interested in your thoughts, comments, and questions.
