The Weekly Update 6/12/2026™

The two charts below represent The Fear and Greed Index for June 4th, 2026, and June 9th, 2026. There was a weekend between the two, so this represents a two-business day swing from 54, a “neutral” investment outlook, to 39, a “fear” investment outlook.

Two Days!  This is not normal, or rational behavior, and it is also one of the reasons investors have over $9 trillion in low paying interest, to 0% paying interest, in cash like accounts. FEAR!

When investors are fearful and sitting on a wall of CASH looking for a place to invest for returns in something paying north of zero, it has historically been a reasonable point of entry for thoughtful investors.

“Investors” like to own Corporate America while “renters” like to trade the shares of ownership.

As you likely read in this month's update of The Seven Signs for Changing Economy™ (Read it Here), that I wrote and e-mailed to you at 8:00 am MDT this morning (6-12-2026), the economic backdrop Corporate America must operates in, is strong, solid and growing.

We will stand tall and lean into any surprise volatility that comes up, because as you just read in this month’s Seven Signs update, our economic weathervane, and investment positions are all showing signs of positivity going forward.

I did not say market valuations go straight up, and I did not say without volatility, yet the data flow suggests the good old USA has a very bright outlook.

Thank you for your trust and confidence. As always, I am interested in your thoughts, comments, and questions.

Respectfully,

James O. Lunney, CFP®
