The Weekly Update 6/5/2026™
Wow…Read ‘em and Reap:

Last week's latest AAII sentiment data is in the graphic above from AAII. Still more bears (negative outlook) than bulls (positive outlook) - on the week that marked the 21st new all-time high of 2026, alone.
The last four decades of AAII data, in eight week moving average format is below. Note their story is the same.

The AAII sentiment data has been collected since the latter half of the 80’s.
Note the story from the second graphic above covering the big picture and the long path up the mountain. Sitting down?
At point 1 (04/1989):
The S&P 500 was 318
The NASDAQ was 435
The DOW was 2,440
At Point 2 (Friday, May 29, 2026):
The S&P 500 was 7,580
The NASDAQ was 26,972
The DOW was 51,032
The crowd’s psychology / emotions?
They felt the same at both times, the same, more bearish (negative) than bullish (positive)!!!
The economic backdrop has rarely, if ever, been better. The revenues and profits of Corporate America, as measured by the S&P 500, have never been higher as detailed in The Weekly Update I wrote and posted to TWSG website on 5-29-26. (Read it Here)
The May update I wrote for The Seven Signs of a Changing Economy™ set the outlook for the economic backdrop for the end of 2026 into 2027. Again, all based on independent, fact based and source cited data, and all are positive... rare air. (Read it Here)
I did not say market valuations go straight up, and I did not say without volatility, yet the data flow suggests the good old USA has a very bright outlook.
So, for perspective, focus on “Five Year Money” which I wrote and posted to TWSG website on 1-7-2022. (Read it Here)

As always, I am interested in your thoughts, comments, and questions.
